We went for a mix of tastes - calamari & aubergine / prawns / beef tartare / pork belly / venison. The springbok was delicious - perfectly cooked in an aromatic spicy jus. Calamari was good, although the mix of hot calamari with cold aubergine was a bit odd. The beef tartare was nice but not outstanding. The prawns were perfectly cooked but the avo / mayo mix was a little too creamy. I would have preferred more zingy flavours. Overall the mains were good.
I chose pannacotta for dessert which was a bit disappointing- there was too much gelatine which meant that it didn't have that good wobble. My husband's chocolate cheesecake was heavenly.
very good

Not necessarily fine dining but certainly top-quality delicious food.
The menu at the Kleine Zalze Restaurant changes regularly to offer a compact selection of plats du jour – a collection of delicious dishes inspired by classic cuisine.
