What a wonderful afternoon ! Everything from the ambiance, service, food and value was absolutely perfect. Simply cannot rate it highly enough. My risotto and rosemary lamb were fabulous. And at R195 for 2 courses represents ridiculously good value !!!!

Thank you so much for making my birthday celebration so special.
My guests and I enjoyed your 3-course menu offering. Everyone enjoyed their food, regardless of choice. All options for the various courses on the menu were delicious.
The attention to detail did not go amiss and the MCC, followed by great wine, went down a treat.
The beautiful venue, excellent service and amazing view were perfect ingredients for an enjoyably long and deliriously happy afternoon...so much so that we completely forgot to take photos of our food. I guess that calls for a repeat performance soon.

It is our long-held view that great wines taste their best with good food, and whenever possible in good company. We created Longtable not as a glittering showpiece of authentic Cape cuisine, but as a place where unpretentious, flavoursome food could be enjoyed in a relaxing and convivial setting. We like to think that Longtable is all of this and more. With our supply of organic vegetables and sustainable fish, we are able to provide not only delicious food, but food which is sustainably sourced, with minimum waste, and zero use of plastics.

You will find a concise but creative wine list comprising Haskell and Dombeya wines, as well as a few mystery, limited-release imported wines, to satisfy those looking for a touch of adventure in their dining experience.

1. Do I need to pay upfront?

At most restaurants, you can make reservations for free and cancel them without any charge. You'll settle the bill when you dine at the restaurant. However, some restaurants may request a small deposit, and they will send a prepayment request via Dineplan to confirm your reservation.

2. How do I know if my reservation is confirmed?

You will receive a confirmation for every reservation within a few minutes at the email address you provided. Haven't received anything? Please check your spam folder.

3. I follow a special diet. Can the restaurant accommodate that?

You can specify your dietary requirements in the comments section of the reservation form.

4. Are drinks included in the menu price?

In most deals, drinks are not included.

5. How can I change my reservation?

7. Is cancellation free?

Yes, you can always cancel for free.

If you have made a prepayment via Dineplan, you can cancel up to 24 hours before your reservation. The amount you paid in advance will be automatically refunded to your account. Refunds through Dineplan should be resolved in communication with the restaurant, and we are not directly involved in this process.

8. Until when can I cancel my reservation?

You can cancel your reservation online up to 8 hours in advance, or by phone up to 1 hour before your reservation time. However, we kindly request that you cancel as soon as you know you won't be able to make your reservation.

9. What is Restaurant Week South Africa?

During Restaurant Week South Africa, you can indulge in a fabulous 3-course dinner at over 140 of the finest restaurants in South Africa, starting at ZAR 295.00 per person. Restaurant Week South Africa is held twice a year, in Autumn and Spring.
