My husband and I came to Epsom Thai for a midweek dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The staff were very attentive and friendly without being intrusive, the decor is very pleasing; understated and elegant. We had the Tom Yum soup and Tartate Duo for starters, a Thai Green Curry with chicken and the Epsom Thai sushi for mains and the Deep Fried Ice Cream and Chocolate spring rolls for dessert and everything was scrumptious! We will definitely be back!

Thank you to Epsom Thai Restaurant for a truly wonderful dinner and evening. Your staff were amazing and managed a big table of 12 effortlessly. Food was wonderful, we all enjoyed our evening very much. Highly recommended. Best Regards, Lauren de Klerk

Although the food was tasty and well cooked, the servings were generous and what we ordered, we found the food very salty, When we were mentioned this it was immediately offered the dish would be replaced. We said no, and another staff member returned and again asked that they replace the dish. Again we said no, but before were finished our deserts a take-away was given to us to to try the dish with less salt. The deep fried ice cream was amazing, the highlight of the evening.

Epsom Thai, the brainchild of owner Mamane Moeketsane, is the latest Thai fusion restaurant to open in Joburg. Taking the brave move to open last December, Mamane and head chef Bongane Tshabalala have created a rather diverse offering in their extensive menu.

When it comes to flavor nothing compares to an Asian dish and South East Asia offers what we deem "The Perfect Balance" of flavors.

1. Do I need to pay upfront?

At most restaurants, you can make reservations for free and cancel them without any charge. You'll settle the bill when you dine at the restaurant. However, some restaurants may request a small deposit, and they will send a prepayment request via Dineplan to confirm your reservation.

2. How do I know if my reservation is confirmed?

You will receive a confirmation for every reservation within a few minutes at the email address you provided. Haven't received anything? Please check your spam folder.

3. I follow a special diet. Can the restaurant accommodate that?

4. Are drinks included in the menu price?

In most deals, drinks are not included.

5. How can I change my reservation?

7. Is cancellation free?

Yes, you can always cancel for free.

If you have made a prepayment via Dineplan, you can cancel up to 24 hours before your reservation. The amount you paid in advance will be automatically refunded to your account. Refunds through Dineplan should be resolved in communication with the restaurant, and we are not directly involved in this process.

8. Until when can I cancel my reservation?

You can cancel your reservation online up to 8 hours in advance, or by phone up to 1 hour before your reservation time. However, we kindly request that you cancel as soon as you know you won't be able to make your reservation.

9. What is Restaurant Week South Africa?

During Restaurant Week South Africa, you can indulge in a fabulous 3-course dinner at over 140 of the finest restaurants in South Africa, starting at ZAR 295.00 per person. Restaurant Week South Africa is held twice a year, in Autumn and Spring.
