The ratio of staff to diners is incredibly high - and each diner is treated to an extraordinary level of personal attention, that is made to appear effortless and natural. The food and sommelier-presented wine also "came to the party" with beautiful flavour combinations and plenty of creativity on display. But it is the setting, service and plethora of little extras that ultimately made the more lasting impression this time around.
Last nights dinner at Rust and Vrede was exactly why I love resturant week.

The wine was deliciously paired with the food. I was a little disappointed with the main dish as I felt it lacked flavour. Especially after the yellowtail tuna starter which was a flavour explosion.
The entire evening was such a treat in such a beautiful location. The food, wine and service spot on! Well done to everyone !!
I love coming to this restaurant because of their fantastic cuisine and outstanding service. They always pay so much attention to their food!

About Rust en Vrede
Cuisine: Fine Dining
Great restaurants are about balance, Not only in food and wine, but also people. And thus our service is as important. What makes it even more of a challenge is when all this happens on a historic and award winning wine estate. We have selected the right team and together we built from there, to create the finest dining experience at a world-class venue.
By the time the doors opened we had selected the purveyors to provide the freshest ingredients and have personally selected the wines to compliment the menu.
We take pride in the fact that time was taken with well known potter, David Walters, to create the crockery, handcrafted Riedel stemware was selected and Laguiole knives purchased, to give you an experience you won’t soon forget.
