We had a wonderful time at 96 winery road. The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. We were sitting outside for lunch. Very good service and tasteful food. The portions was a bit small though.
I was hopelessly disappointed with the portion size. The O' derv was excellent, and so was the pudding.
The main was as I guess about only 100gr.
A normal person cannot be full after such a main meal. Really disappointed with that. I am not a big eater at all, I went hungry that night after a bill of R 720.00.

If you want to do a special, this is definitely not the way. You will loose you reputation faster than you have build it!!

The wine list is misleading in that it does not make it clear that for iinstance chenin, which ranges from the cheapest range to a delightful 2007 vintage reserve, is by the glass for four totally different wines at R120. We ordered a bottle of the 2007 which was a 90+ wine and paid R395 which was not readily apparent but gave much pleasure/
The special short menu was an excellent range,, the bobotie starter was very tasty but the pastry left something to be desired, the mussels were excellent. as for the mains the fillet superb but the famous duck and cherry pie a disaster. Lots of tough overbaked thick pastry with minimal rather tasteless contents.The chocolate chocolate dessert was first class.
We have eaten a few times at 96 Winery Road and the food is always outstanding. I cannot think of any other restaurant that consistently serves great food with attentive service.
Our group had the mussels, fish and hollandaise steak and all were fabulous.
We had a wonderful Sunday lunch at 96 Winery for Restaurant Week.
The food was excellent, we were 3 people that had different options of the 2 course menu and all of us were very happy with our choices.
You can choose any 2 options from the menu and the portions were just the right size.
We also had great service.
Well worth a visit and good value!
