We were delighted to join the Harbour House Kalkbay for this two course lunch.
The oysters were huge and fresh and the dill cream compliments the grilled hake perfectly.
A wonderful evening, awesome ambience, great service.
We both has the same choices. Starter was greek salad, delicious dressing, capers a nice touch, but unfortunately spoilt by being about 70% chunks of cucumber!
Calamari mains was outstanding. Generous helping, wonderful flavours, render and tasty.

Creme Brulee was SPECTACULAR!
Lovely evening, but for R300 we did not thing it was the greatest value for money.

Our menus were printed and I suspect set up upon our "unexpected" arrival, we were herded to a table and rushed to decide between a pretty stock standard selection of dishes. I've always wanted to visit the Harbour House and was pretty excited but that excitement quickly died when we were made to feel like a massive inconvenience. The food was good, my main actually impressed me quite a bit but it was clearly not the standard of the usual menu. I appreciate what restaurant week is trying to do, and in the spirit of trying something new I did enjoy the experience. But will definitely be hesitant to go back. Please, I implore you to treat your restaurant week diners with the same respect as your other clients, we are after all the people who write reviews and come back to your establishments to spend lots of money.
Good (not great) food and great views. However, they are extremely disorganized. Did not know about restaurant Week. Did not have menu options available. Did not even have my booking ready (for which I had a reference number)! Eventually, I was put very embarrassedly in front of my wife at a table and told to be finished before 2030 as then the next client will be there.
When we got to the restaurant, it seemed to take longer than usual for theM to find our reservation. Even when she did figure it out, I am still not sure where our name was on the list. The menu for the special was not at all exciting. Considering hat Harbour House has to offer we knew better. We asked the waitress...

Even when she did figure it out, I am still not sure where our name was on the list. The menu for the special was not at all exciting. Considering hat Harbour House has to offer we knew better. We asked the waitress for the menu, and went down that route. The food was fantastic, as was our waitress. We also got to feel like we weren't sitting on top of each other when the table next to us finished eating and left. It was an uncomfortable squash at first.
