Travelling from Washington D.C. I dined here alone as my date fell ill and couldn't make it. I am glad I braved it to "date myself" for the night as it was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had! The food was super delicious & well presented, the staff were attentive, and the ambiance was warm but elegant. Thank you for the experience!

I had to pull together a table of 4 for this meal at The Greenhouse when one couple had to suddenly pull out. Interesting to identify three friends who would really appreciate The Greenhouse ambience, cuisine and experience. Everyone was impressed and delighted.

The food was impeccable. Two of us were not fish eaters so it was easy to rearrange the menu to accommodate us. Each course was beautiful designed, balanced, delicious and excellently presented. The umami style beef was the main course which did honour to the kitchen.

Greenhouse knows how to seduce the diner with two consecutive desserts - each exotic, clever and delicious. There is careful attention to balancing tastes and textures in each course without you feeling that you are being used for experimentation. The attention given to the sauces, the dollops of flavours, the contrasts work to draw you in to each course as something enticing and worthy.

You leave the meal feeling that someone has given you their full attention in the kitchen and at the table. You also feel you have had a beautiful meal without overeating or searching for sufficient food on your plate.

Service was seemless and cheerful, with a multiracial / multicultural team which is a welcome aspect of this restaurant.

The setting is elegant and yet not too formal. The accoustics are a bit challenging at times - the only draw back in the setting.

Strength to this wonderful restaurant, Peter Tempelhoff and Ashley Moss. You have created an outstanding dining experience and have an enthusiastic following.

What an experience to have dinner here. The service is just outstanding and that makes up for the slightly 'cold' ambience. Lighting is quite hard. The food however is what you come for, and you won't be disappointed! This fine, creative cuisine will make you want to come back. The presentation of the food, makes it a piece of art. It's the best dining experience we had!

If you have made a prepayment via Dineplan, you can cancel up to 24 hours before your reservation. The amount you paid in advance will be automatically refunded to your account. Refunds through Dineplan should be resolved in communication with the restaurant, and we are not directly involved in this process.

You can cancel your reservation online up to 8 hours in advance, or by phone up to 1 hour before your reservation time. However, we kindly request that you cancel as soon as you know you won't be able to make your reservation.

During Restaurant Week South Africa, you can indulge in a fabulous 3-course dinner at over 140 of the finest restaurants in South Africa, starting at ZAR 295.00 per person. Restaurant Week South Africa is held twice a year, in Autumn and Spring.
