The only problem with this lunch was that Restaurant Week South Africa had not advised Tobago of our booking (or others we were told). We were greeted by Felicia who was extremely professional and gave us a table as soon as she was able. It's a pity the restaurants are good but the organiser, Restaurant Week SA isn't able to perform admin!
Lovely restaurant and exceptional service. In fact, I found that many of the savoury dishes were far too sweet and they didn't need to be (we could smell the main courses of the people sitting next to us, and we thought they'd gone straight to dessert!). The ribeye was a generous portion, well cooked though a little oily. Nice crispy wedges. All the staff was extremely efficient and friendly, and our waitron (sadly I can't remember her name) was lovely - professional, cheerful and helpful. I'd return just for the chocolate fondant! Thanks for a lovely evening, great service and filling, tasty food.
I had a lovely meal (the butter chicken). The staff was super friendly. I really enjoyed it.
Service was amazing.
Food wise, I wasn't blown away, but if this was just based on dessert then there'd be a 6th star.
As for atmosphere, if you're sitting inside, you will be constantly reminded that you're eating at a hotel and kids, loud Americans and by-passers will be a part of your dining experience.

I would definitely go again when there's a special, but unfortunately the food doesn't warrant the regular prices. The dessert was only out done by the amazing service.
My husband and I would both like to recommend Tobago's. From the moment we arrived at the entrance we were treated like royalty. The staff were friendly and efficient. We sat outside and soaked up the sun, the stunning view and the lovely atmosphere with the totally relaxing music in the background. Our lunch was stunning, we will most certainly be visiting Tobago's again soon.
