You can clearly see the restaurant is closing at the end of the month, their hearts and attention is definitely not in it. The waiter/manager screwed our order up twice. First with the mains, when one of the guests did not even get a main course. Secondly, with dessert, when we ordered x2 Chocolate Fondants but received x2 pineapple rum tarts instead. It was sent back and rectified, fair enough, but really spoiled the experience. At least the view is nice.
Glad the restaurant is closing down, hope it doesn't open somewhere else. I will never return. Will also not be making use of Restaurant Week again as this is not the first or second disappointment.

This was our second time dining at De Kloof during a Restaurant Week, and again De Kloof delivered. The food was delicious and their wine suggestions were spot on. Interesting flavour combinations, textures (sorbet in a starter?! Who'd have thunk!) make for an exceptional meal.

The food was a bit disappointing - the steak was dry and everything felt very average and not worth the price. Service was a bit slow; we had to wait a while for food and even drinks, even though the place wasn't very busy.

1. Do I need to pay upfront?

At most restaurants, you can make reservations for free and cancel them without any charge. You'll settle the bill when you dine at the restaurant. However, some restaurants may request a small deposit, and they will send a prepayment request via Dineplan to confirm your reservation.

Refunds through Dineplan should be resolved in communication with the restaurant, and we are not directly involved in this process.

8. Until when can I cancel my reservation?

You can cancel your reservation online up to 8 hours in advance, or by phone up to 1 hour before your reservation time. However, we kindly request that you cancel as soon as you know you won't be able to make your reservation.
