Food was excellent as usual at Bihari. Service was attentive but could do with a bit of polishing and personality. The ambiance at the restaurant could also do with a bit of polishing, at times it felt like a marketplace rather than an upmarket Indian themed restaurant
The food was delicious, big portions. However, starter was a bit too big in relation to the main course.
The service was speedily, however, the waiter was a bit unfriendly.
The toilets were stinking and dirty. That spoiled our fairly good experience.
Food was good but we waited about 30 to 40 minutes between when our mains were ordered to when we actually got it. No one communicated that there was a problem with the printer or that there would be a delay with the food.
My brother and I have had a monthly lunch club for several years now. A space away from our families where present developments are shared and sounded out, along with generous dollops of the past that pop up. The protocol is one selects the restaurant, the other pays.

This way we have explored many new places, but also got rutted into revisits to old, because its just "easier".
This time my choice struck a perfect balance of our business and the business of the restaurant, in which 2 hours pleasurably passed through many exchanges of ideas in the company of a specially experienced, pleasant and attentive waiter Patrick, who steered us through the best of a menu with well-thought out options - 3 each for the 1st 2 courses, and a dessert that roundly finishedf all choices. The food and accompaniments were rich, tender and delicious. My brother, who loves curries but feared their being too much lunch, polished all off. He previously viewed it only as dinner place with a crowd of friends.
Amazing to relate: my takeaway of remaining rogan josh yielded another 4 portions shared at home. The 2nd desert went home with him!
A good choice for comfortable space, at privacy distance from others, that facilitates open talking like a comfy private train coach.
Thank you Bihari. For an open rather than a "secret" menu, for delivering on it, for knocking a previous experience with fussy dining at a famous wine farm through the same forum right out of the ballpark.
A total pleasure, to be savoured as a standout. Next time we hope more will wake up to this convenient lunch spot that is packed at night.
The welcome was cordial. The waitress was not informed of the Resturant Week. Very generous starters, a variety on offer to cater for different tastes. The selection of mains replicated the menu in size, quantity of food and presentation. The curries are delicious and well worth a second visit.
