Thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to La Vie en Rose. The food was divine and everything about the place was relaxing and enjoyable.

"great and tasteful"

Our first waiter was hardly interested in our table. Our table was in a cold breezy spot and asked him if we could move, he said no. We then asked a waitress if we could move and she showed us to a new table and served us.

With a sunny Highveld day as the backdrop, the lovely picturesque setting made for the perfect venue for a luncheon. We never once felt rushed with our meal and could enjoy both starters and mains at our own pace. You could taste that all the ingredients used were fresh and scrumptious. As for their burgers... they are huge - top quality for any burger fans out there! The Manager and staff were super friendly and accommodating too, adding to a really stunning afternoon out.

This was our first time at La Vie En Rose and our second restaurant visit for Restaurant Week 2013. What a fabulous experience. The menu was extremely well put together and consisted of two set three-course meal options featuring the restaurant's best and most popular offerings. Each dish was cooked and presented to perfection. My favourite dish was the camembert and crostini starter - so unusual and delicious! On top of that, the service was excellent. Miles, the manager, was so accommodating when we arrived late owing to my boyfriend being kept late at work, and our waitress, Patricia, was extremely lovely and great at her job. All in all a wonderful evening and we are definitely going to go back!

1. Do I need to pay upfront?

At most restaurants, you can make reservations for free and cancel them without any charge. You'll settle the bill when you dine at the restaurant. However, some restaurants may request a small deposit, and they will send a prepayment request via Dineplan to confirm your reservation.

You can cancel your reservation online up to 8 hours in advance, or by phone up to 1 hour before your reservation time. However, we kindly request that you cancel as soon as you know you won't be able to make your reservation.
