They are so accommodative and we could order from their Daily Specials as well as the A la Carte.
We tried dishes from all three options and we were not disappointed.
These were the choices we made:
Restaurant Week Menu:
Starter - Creamy Blue Cheese and Broccoli Soup – delicious and moreish.
Main - Slow braised Lamb Shoulder –succulent and melt in your mouth.
Dessert - Cheesecake Mousseline – not too sweet, perfect ending to the Restaurant Week Menu
A la Carte Menu:
Starter - Fresh Black Mussels creamy white wine and herb sauce – one of the best sauces and they don’t skimp on their mussels either.
Starter - Spicy Mozambican Prawns with toasted bread – Authentic Mozambican Spice. Not for the faint hearted, but so heavenly you can’t resist.
Mains - Slow Braised Pork Belly creamed potato with a smoky jus – Smokey jus and the Pork Belly perfectly cooked.
Daily Special Menu:
Starter - Chorizo & Calamari – Dish of the night, just the right amount of spiciness from the Chorizo brought out the best of the calamari.
Mains – Eisebein & Creamy, Garlic Mash – Literally fell apart, tastes of Christmas, loved this one too.
Dessert - New York Baked Cheesecake –
Dessert - Home Made Ice Creams a trio of scoops consisting of Rum & Raison, Chocolate Brownie and Salted Popcorn.

We both opted for the salmon fishcake, which was much bigger than I expected it to be. it really was a lovely lunch!

About Simon's Restaurant
Nestled in the fertile Constantia Valley lies a 300-year old wine estate, Groot Constantia and on it, Simon’s Restaurant, where we celebrate the riches of the Cape winelands by transforming the freshest ingredients into memorable meals.
Revel in the Cape Town summer by dining al fresco on our terrace with panoramic views of the Groot Constantia vineyards. Savour the wines of the valley or enjoy our wide selection of craft beers. As the weather turns, join us inside where we like to light a giant fire on chilly days.
Less than 20 minutes from Cape Town city centre. Less than 15 minutes from Hout Bay and only 12 minutes from Newlands, Simon’s is the perfect winelands dining experience.
At Simon’s we believe the quality of the meal starts with the quality of the ingredients. Fresh, seasonal and local. That’s what we believe in. Which is why we have our own kitchen garden where we grow herbs to pick fresh daily. Why we change our menu to make the most of every Cape season. Why we prefer sourcing our ingredients from producers in the Constantia valley and the Cape winelands. And why we cook every meal fresh.
All time classics as well as a few of our own creations will be found on our menu. Try our famous Fish and Chips, Burgers or one of our mouth watering deserts, whatever you fancy whether something classic and simple or one of our latest cullenary creations fit for any special occasion, you will find it on the Simon's menu.
