Deliciously different food, good service. Location and venue a bit too dull (and not modern and vibey) for my liking, but it was still a great experience.
For tappas and dancing very nice live atmosphere

I had the marinated feta and tomato starter and my dinner companion the deep-fried chicken livers with mild peri-peri dip. Both delicious and slightly different, beautifully presented and really tasty. The main course was a mix of tapas offerings and also very tasty although I found both the snoek fishcake and the risotto ball to be a bit dry - perhaps a bit more of the accompanying sauce would be great. Dessert was the best: a peanut-butter cheesecake slice with freshly whipped cream NOT the yucky stuff from the spray can). The main course was surprisingly filling and I had to bag my cheesecake for a midnight snack. The restaurant is magical in the evening, reminiscent of a an exotic secret garden and very romantic. The service was prompt and friendly although I thought our waiter could have been more informed about the menu and explained the choices better. A lovely evening and a wonderful way to end Freedom Day.
Laughing chefs is a real hidden gem! great service and great food made for an enjoyable evening with my lady! we both had fun :)
The food was very nice - packed full of flavours! The ambience was nice and relaxed, very tranquil watching the pond in front of us. It feels like a restaurant in the Karoo! The service was also excellent!
