Enrico was our waiter and he had some lovely suggestions as to what to eat for lunch. The portions of food were really big and delicious! The vegetable soup was simple but perfectly prepared! The bread provided was so delicious I wished there was more! The kingklip was the fish of the day and it was perfectly cooked and the sauce was really yummy! The chips were also delicious and the lentils had an amazing flavour. My wife had the dessert, which was a generous portion, and it was a very tasty malva pudding. Altogether, an amazing and delicious experience with home-style food that was incredibly satisfying! We also did a wine tasting and the wine was really amazing, especially the Syrah!

What a lovely place with such friendly and professional staff which makes one feel quite at home. The restaurant interior is beautiful with a nice and cosy fireplace. In summer it would also be great to sit outside and enjoy the views and beautiful surroundings. The food was fantastic! We could choose our own side dishes (the list of sides really has something to suit everybody's taste). The portions were so generous. It was absolutely delicious and true value for you money.

Was a great value for money meal. Starters superb and the choice of sides was fantastic. It is a pity though that one has to pay R80 extra for wine that could have been purchased at cellar price 5m away. The establishment is run by one owner so it really seems unnecessary to do this and leaves a bad taste ................for a mere R80

Frequently asked questions

1. Do I need to pay upfront?

At most restaurants, you can make reservations for free and cancel them without any charge. You'll settle the bill when you dine at the restaurant. However, some restaurants may request a small deposit, and they will send a prepayment request via Dineplan to confirm your reservation.

2. How do I know if my reservation is confirmed?

You will receive a confirmation for every reservation within a few minutes at the email address you provided. Haven't received anything? Please check your spam folder.

3. I follow a special diet. Can the restaurant accommodate that?

Yes, restaurants always take dietary preferences into consideration.

You can specify your dietary requirements in the comments section of the reservation form.

4. Are drinks included in the menu price?

In most deals, drinks are not included.

However, some restaurants may offer a welcome drink or provide a wine-pairing option, and this will be clearly indicated in the restaurant's menu.

5. How can I change my reservation?

No problem.

If you've created an account with us, you can log in to your account and easily change your reservation.

6. How can I cancel my reservation?

You can cancel your reservation from the confirmation email: Click on 'Manage Reservation' in the email and then click on the 'Cancel Reservation' button. If you have created an account, you can also do this easily by going to 'My Reservations.' You can also contact us via email at info@restaurantweek.co.za.

7. Is cancellation free?

Yes, you can always cancel for free.

If you have made a prepayment via Dineplan, you can cancel up to 24 hours before your reservation. The amount you paid in advance will be automatically refunded to your account. Refunds through Dineplan should be resolved in communication with the restaurant, and we are not directly involved in this process.

8. Until when can I cancel my reservation?

You can cancel your reservation online up to 8 hours in advance, or by phone up to 1 hour before your reservation time. However, we kindly request that you cancel as soon as you know you won't be able to make your reservation.

9. What is Restaurant Week South Africa?

During Restaurant Week South Africa, you can indulge in a fabulous 3-course dinner at over 140 of the finest restaurants in South Africa, starting at ZAR 295.00 per person. Restaurant Week South Africa is held twice a year, in Autumn and Spring.
