We had a lovely evening, food divine, great atmosphere. Only let down was the service, shame we caught the new waitron who didn't even know what restaurant week was and made a few mistakes, nothing drastic but annoyances none the less.
The restaurant was lovely, and had a soft, rustic feel to it. The staff were all warm and friendly and greeted us. Our waiter was super friendly, as well as the other staff members that were helping him bring out the food.
The food was yummy and made to our specifications (they got my steak just right) :)

Over all would rate the experience as very pleasant and a good place to go to have a good sit down meal.
The steak was excellent. My starter was on point.
My waiter neglected me. I had to ask other waiters for service. This affected my outlook. I has a bad experience.
The food was delicious, I really enjoyed it, one thing though is that the menu didn't have as many options as advertised on the Restaurant Week menu. Service was great, we were well looked after. Parking could be a problem, we were lucky. My only complaint is that the tables are too close together.
With so many quality steak houses in Durban it's hard to make a lasting impression, but Butcher Boys has definitely made a come back in my opinion. Our starters and desserts were good, but the hero of the meal was the chargrilled juicy and tender matured steak. Perfectly cooked as per request, and served piping hot. We will definitely be back.

The Butcher Boys journey began on 1 November, 1999 when two impeccably well aged and obviously grain fed “boys” Laz and Derryck decided to realize their dream of an authentic steak house.
This was no flash in the pan and 16 years on, Butcher Boys continues to be a hot spot for great food and even greater company on the Florida Road strip.
ALL THEIR BEEF IS EITHER WET OR DRY AGED BETWEEN 25 AND 35 DAYS DEPENDING ON THE CUT, BASTED AND GRILLED ON AN OPEN FLAME TO YOUR LIKING.
