We had a fantastic experience when we went for lunch at Faber at Avondale. There were five of us and my friend is a vegetarian. We all had the restaurant week lunch, which was one starter and one main. My son also went for the dessert which he thoroughly enjoyed.
The food was very tasty and all beautifully presented. Well done Faber - we will be back !
We booked for the "Restaurant Week" Experience. Everything was great, interesting cuisine. We should have arrived a bit earlier to enjoy a cocktail the outside porch for longer, before going into the dining area after sunset.
Only bad thing is that we were billed R300 each, whereas on Restaurant Week FABER had 1 star, meaning we should have paid R200 per head.

The service was great even though we had a new waitron his presentation of himself and his knowledge of the food was good. There would be few restaurants that would be able to provide the same ambiance with outdoor seating overlooking Paarl and Cape Town, although a bit hot we could not have asked for better. Thanks Avondale, Eric and your team.
Thank you for the delicious Pork. Wonderful setting for fine early summer afternoon. Wines were delicious too.
Service could have been a little better, also some errors on the bill were not so cool
Good luck and thanks
Beautiful setting, service was a bit flustered by being busy and quite slow, but the food was very delicious and the setting is beautiful!
