Everything about this evening was perfect. The service, the food, the views... Got to see the most perfect red-sky sunset setting over mountains with the lagoon as the foreground...so beautiful.

I went for their wine pairing menu for restaurant week. The night started with the Matilda's Secret Sav Blanc, which was served with a smoke fish amuse-bouche. Starter was a blekbok tartar served with Matilda's Secret Red. Mains was Duck and Pap served with a Cab Sav - never thought I'd go to a fancy restaurant to eat pap, but it was made very differently than I'm used to. Dessert was caramel popcorn cheesecake - heaven! - which was served with their Noble Late Harvest .

All of the deliciousness!

I would highly recommend the restaurant.

About Benguela Cove

Visitors to Benguela Cove Lagoon Wine Estate and the restaurant currently in the Manor House will enjoy a rare waterfront position, with captivating views over the lagoon, the estate has 70 hectares of vineyards, olive trees and lavender fields. A true maritime estate.

The Manor restaurant will remain in place until our new restaurant opens in November 2017. The estate is set to become a major South African tourist destination with a new 450 ton winery, tasting room, restaurant, barrel room and 18 hole pirate hole adventure golf course, all due for completion in 2017. 

Visitors to the estate can currently have a vineyard tour and tasting, as well as being the only place in SA where you can experience wine tasting on the lagoon. An hour long pontoon boat ride with wine tasting. We are open 7 days a week, 364 days of the year. We cannot wait to welcome you.

If you have made a prepayment via Dineplan, you can cancel up to 24 hours before your reservation. The amount you paid in advance will be automatically refunded to your account. Refunds through Dineplan should be resolved in communication with the restaurant, and we are not directly involved in this process.

You can cancel your reservation online up to 8 hours in advance, or by phone up to 1 hour before your reservation time. However, we kindly request that you cancel as soon as you know you won't be able to make your reservation.
