Although not full, the restaurant has an excellent, comfortable and relaxing ambience.
My wife's lamb tagine was excellent, with depth of flavour, balance and not too rich. The lamb was moist and soft.
My sea bass was moist with the skin adding texture and flavour. The Vadouvan spices enhanced the fish, and the tamarind gave a nice bit of tartness
From the moment we walked into Epicure until we left - the experience was amazing! The staff is extremely attentive without being too obvious. Choosing your own wine from the wine room instead of a wine list was really great and the sommelier could answer any question about any of the wines.

The food was absolutely divine, full of flavour and perfectly presented!
The biggest honour of the evening was meeting Chef Coco!
Will most definitely go back there for a lazy lunch outside with the family.

Interesting menu, african cuisine where you find items like goat, plantain, guinea fowl.. We ordered the crab croquettes, duck samoosa, lamb tajine, seabass, vermecelli and chocolate desserts. The lamb tajine was the standout. Beautiful to look at and flavoursome. Good portions as well.
I must point out some oddities for me, no breads or butters were served on arrival, others tables did get this. Chef Coco chatted to every table except ours. Being part of Restaurant Week 2018 at R400 lunch or R500 supper, well lets just say no additional menu was preppared and prices were over menu, but we were charged a la carte so that was fine. No wine list, you go to cellar, and have to ask prices which isn't nice. The restaurant is fairly new and already has a 5 star Diningcity rating. Nevertheless it was a fab lunch.
