Read full reviewWhat a beautiful restaurant. I loved the decor and the velvet chairs. We were welcomed with a rum cocktail and citrus bread and a chicken leg amuse bush. Unfortunately that’s where the pizazz ended. Unlike previous restaurant week experiences, a menu was not prepared, we struggled to choose as we were not familiar with the cuisine. I didn’t enjoy my starter of calamari as it lacked seasoning and most of the dishes were accompanied by a tomato base of some sort. Our desserts were also a let down of small oily “vetkoek” served with ice cream. The menu needs some refining. I was looking for more North African influences.
Epicure offered an experience in sampling the diverse food culture of the African continent that I had not given much thought to until now. Stunning platings and outstanding flavors. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly. I appreciated the beautiful desserts, probably the best peanut butter ice cream ever. A stunning afternoon in a beautiful setting.
Wow am speechless ,what an amazing experience.

Expect fine a la carte dining as well as degustation options. There is also Afritapas food, a rum bar featuring drinks from the African diaspora, a cigar space with humidor even, al fresco eating and even morning-fresh and healthy dishes.
