We had a table of 4 for restaurant week.
The service sat us and looked after us with no problems, the waiters were nice and managed to look after us.
The food was excellent. The highlight was the lamb. outstanding. Really really great.
The wine list was really well priced and allowed us to have a bottle of bubbl...

A really enjoyable experience. Accon=modating and eager waiters. A very friendly, humble and grateful Luca, checking on guests and thanking them for choosing to be patrons at his restaurant during restaurant week.

Good, flavourful wholesome food.

All courses and options included suggested wine pairings.

the food was very good, so was the service. We were confused about what items of food we were allowed to choose for the R98.00 for two courses and landed up paying much more. The ambience was poor as there were a lot of children and it was very noisy. Luca is a very nice host, so we will return - but in the evening!

Luca Borella, the prolific hands-on owner, honours centuries old traditions essential to authentic Italian cuisine - simplicity and passion (and... don't forget anything Mamma taught you!!!).

Tuscan influences are evident with classic fresh pasta, seafood, meat dishes and exotic delicacies on offer to tantalize your palate! Food is freshly prepared to order and, as far as possible, homemade. The extensive menu goes hand-in-hand with a collection of carefully selected fine South African and Italian wines ( over 200 to choose from!) gathered specifically to complement any choice of meal. A grand wood-burning oven delivers pizzas that delight the gods (the calzone is to die for!) and slow-food specialities, including rabbit casserole served with polenta and lamb pot-roasted in coffee and apricots, will have you coming back for more.

1. Do I need to pay upfront?

Yes, you can always cancel for free.

If you have made a prepayment via Dineplan, you can cancel up to 24 hours before your reservation. The amount you paid in advance will be automatically refunded to your account. Refunds through Dineplan should be resolved in communication with the restaurant, and we are not directly involved in this process.

8. Until when can I cancel my reservation?

You can cancel your reservation online up to 8 hours in advance, or by phone up to 1 hour before your reservation time. However, we kindly request that you cancel as soon as you know you won't be able to make your reservation.

9. What is Restaurant Week South Africa?

During Restaurant Week South Africa, you can indulge in a fabulous 3-course dinner at over 140 of the finest restaurants in South Africa, starting at ZAR 295.00 per person. Restaurant Week South Africa is held twice a year, in Autumn and Spring.
