Read full reviewWe were warmly welcomed and showed to a lovely table in the air-conditioned area with a view of the beautiful gardens. The wine list is impressive and our glasses of Mulderbosch Chenin Blanc were delicious. An ample basket of bread/breadsticks with humus and butter was served with our drinks. We shared the cheese souffle starter, which was utterly delicious. We both had the fish and chips main course which was exceptional, the freshest hake in an incredibly light and crisp batter, served with delicious chips and a substantial side salad. Possibly the best fish and chips we've ever had! The ice cream of the day was a green apple macaroon flavour and was the only disappointing dish we sampled - unnaturally green and too sweet. A lovely plate of little petit fours was served with the bill, which came to R250 a head including sparkling water, wine and gratuity. A wonderful afternoon, highly recommended
It's a wonderful setting, with friendly, professional staff giving excellent service...and that's before you even get to the food, which is delicious.
Last night was awesome. Great food great vibe. The staff was friendly and prompt. Food arrived perfectly to perfection. Wine service was slow but over all it was a great experience. Defiantly one of the best restaurant week restaurants. We will defiantly be back.
My siblings and I had a wonderful time at The Conservatory. From the amazing and yummy cheese souffle to the little tidbits after dessert.
All the food was excellent and good just as we wanted, especially with regards to the Springbok Rump. I would recommend the Cheese Souffle to any one and eat 3 or 4 myself.
As I have never been to the conservatory, It was a good chose for restaurant week, my daughter, her boyfriend and my son were invited as a joint birthday and happy holiday party. I was disappointed with the two course menu, however delicious. My husband and I will definitely visit you again.
