The service was excellent. The springbok was sublime. The cheese souffle was very flavoursome and light. A thoroughly enjoyable lunch experience in a beautiful environment.
We had a delicious dinner at the Conservatory and just as perfect as the food were the beautiful garden setting and outstanding service.
Given it was the first real summers day in Cape Town, our party was in a festive mood. On arrival a friendly greeting and swift guidance to our table, and once settled drinks efficiently supplied, Service was attentive and guidance provided regarding the options available. The meals were sublime and all in all a great afternoon enjoyed in the hands of professional team.
We had the cheese souffle and the springbok rump [rare] ; both exquisitely well cooked with the perfect aroma, nothing overwhelming / overbearing, which, given the dishes, could have been a recipe for disaster [pun intended].

Owing to the high temperature of the day, 35+, the window panes [it's a conservatory after all....] increased the heat in their proximity, but to have the room closed, and the a/c on, would have defeated the feeling of openness, of the room flowing into the garden.
Well looked after, reminding us that we were here to have a good time.

Views of the luscious green garden through the floor to ceiling glass panels made it felt like we dined under in a forest.
Well done to the chef for plating up a meal that I will think about for a long time. The waiters didn’t hover over us, but were always available to clear the table and ensure that we are comfortable. (using beautiful language pronounced in a manner everybody can understand.)
