The setting is fantastic as is the service. The staff are attentive and knowledgeable but not pushy or stuffy. My starter, a goat's cheese panacotta, was sublime and whilst I'm not usually a fan of goat's cheese, this dish has me sold. For main, what else could I order but "The Big Bad Wolf" named for the pork cooked 4 ways. The portion size was spot on and the mixture of textures and flavours didn't have me huffing and puffing my way through the course but it will have me coming back and bringing family and friends. As a group we brought our own cake for dessert so I have an entire dessert menu to look forward to on my next visit. A quick glance at the menu reveals a fantastic selection of whiskeys and craft beer and playful names for the dishes which adds a friendly touch that enhances the experience. Thanks for an awesome day De Kloof.

Food was interesting flavour combinations, but not always balanced ie cauliflower and gruyee dish too fatty fried and bland and the borscht made with picked beetroot instead of roasted beets.Pork was very tender though. Lovely experience but food need some attention
It was or second experience of De Kloof and yet again we had a wonderful time. The bread board with smoked butter followed by a beef carpaccio amuse was really extraordinary. Starters were fantastic (the beetroot soup was so yummy). We had "Bees" for mains, overall it was very tasty but our fillet was overcooked.

We didn't have space for dessert to the maitre d organised us a small chocolate fudge thing to end off our meal.
I'd definitely recommend De Kloof for a special occasion.
