Loved our meal here! Hubby had the chicken potstickers for starters and couldn't stop talking about them. My pork belly main was divine with well balanced flavours. The absolute star of the night though was my hazelnut chocolate dessert with passionfruit ice cream. Definitely recommend
A wonderful night out, the food was amazing! We will be back.
We went to Coobs for Restaurant week, The food tasted amazing, had a lovely evening. And enjoyed it. Will definitely come back.
The starters were okay. I enjoyed the souffle.
I decided to do the wine pairing. Our waiter had to be reminded for all 3 courses (after receiving the food) to bring my pairing (he didn't seem to do so with any urgency either)

The sirloin main was really delicious but came rare as opposed to medium and had to be sent back. It came back with visibly less on the plate.
I wasn't a huge fan of the dessert but that, I guess, is due to personal preference.
The restaurant itself has a lovely cozy feel to it and the staff is relatively friendly.
Service was excellent, nice atmosphere. Interesting wine list. Desert was amazing. We had the Mille feuille and the sorbet. Baby chicken main was delicious. The pork terrine starter and salami and pea tagliattelle was slightly disappointing. The flavours didn't quite come together. Presentation was beautiful.

About Coobs
Coobs
Coobs is a eclectic contemporary bistro set in the bustling fourth ave in parkhurst in a new centre, its modern architecture goes well with the look and feel presented at Coobs. Coobs sources their produce from local suppliers and organic farms to create unique modern bistro-style food. Close to 75% of ingredients come from our organic farm ‘Brightside’ in the Magaliesburg. The farm has been part of Chef James Diack’s family for more than 20 years and is now the main source for his food. “We grew up on that farm; I was a city boy in the week and a farm child on the weekend, wrecking everything in my dirt-biking path.” It is such a pleasure to know where one’s food is coming from, to be able to trace it to its roots and thats what us at Coobs care about so deeply. Everything from vegetables and herbs to pork, lamb and wild boar is free-range and organic.
