The Sushi pizza had the possibility of being good, but was doused in too many sauces. Too much cream cheese in every roll. The taste was okay, it was just heavier than I'm used to for sushi.
The atmosphere could be improved upon. They suffer from being right near the lighting in the mall. They could put tints on the windows to help the brightness during dinner, as the lighting in the restaurant was too high and the noise level from outside was intense - they should shut the doors for dinner.
The server was wonderful though. While he admitted his weakness with wine selection - he was great at leading us through the menu, and very prompt at bring us what we needed.
The menu looked tantaliising but the food was very mediocre. Japanese food has a lightness of touch but most dishes were heavily coated in sweetish sauces. Can't figure out why a Japanese restaurant would serve steak and grilled prawns as a main course. The cajun spice on the prawns had a strange flavour and was almost inedible. Clealry, the kitchen doesn't have a quality chef.

Had the salmon kizu and the dumplings to start - the kizu was very yum and the dumplings surpassed the ones that we usually have at our regular place. Also had the fusion sushi rolls - great flavour combinations that are definitely worth trying. Brigitte provided us with very good service. In sum: an all round good experience.
Was a great dining experience
Good food, good service
As the restaurant is small and in busy part of mall, I would recommend a bit of tint on the windows for some ambience/privacy
Bridgette was an amazing waitress and the food was delicious!
I prefer the setup of the previous Hashi restaurant as it was more cozy.
