The restaurant was under staffed which led to waiting for service on more than one occasion. The tasting area was very busy which also impacted on the service. The restaurant was full with only 3 waitrons servicing all the tables. My husband and I both had the Pork belly for mains and it was dry and quite flavorless...

The views are beautiful, but due to the windy weather we had to sit inside. The ambiance inside was not cosy. It is a large open area and it feels like you are sitting in a canteen. Food was very good though and the service was excellent.

We loved our 2-course lunch at Glen Carlou. The atmosphere was relaxing, and our waitress was very attentive and friendly (I think her name was Mercia). Each course was paired with a delicious wine at no extra cost. The strawberry creme brulee was flawless and the grilled venison dish perfect. Our only critique is that the cucumber jellies in the cucumber soup starter were a little bland, the beetroot slaw in the lamb shoulder dish was too sweet (however, we were told that the recipe was the chef's grandmother's which explains the sweetness.) and the salmon was a little overcooked but still tasty.

We walked away happy and will definitely go back for another lunch or dinner. This time with more of the Curator's Chenin!

1. Do I need to pay upfront?

At most restaurants, you can make reservations for free and cancel them without any charge. You'll settle the bill when you dine at the restaurant. However, some restaurants may request a small deposit, and they will send a prepayment request via Dineplan to confirm your reservation.

You will receive a confirmation for every reservation within a few minutes at the email address you provided. Haven't received anything? Please check your spam folder.

8. Until when can I cancel my reservation?

You can cancel your reservation online up to 8 hours in advance, or by phone up to 1 hour before your reservation time. However, we kindly request that you cancel as soon as you know you won't be able to make your reservation.
