Great food, terrible atmosphere and setting, feels like an airport cafeteria -- a huge cavernous place without any soul or ambience.
Great experience all round. They accommodated our tables food requirements in a lovely manner as well.

The staff were very friendly and attentive from when we arrived at the hotel to when we left the restaurant. Arguably the freshest fish I've had for a long time. The flavor combinations complimented each piece of fish without detracting from the star of the plate (fish of course). Highly recommended.
Don't go if you are not hungry. Sizey portions (7) add up and but are really good ivaried fare. A mixture of inventive and more traditional. Impressive decor and top class service. Only negative was the hotel said, on enquiring parking was subject availability and recommended we park (and pay) down the road at Portswood. The doorman and staff where horrified to hear this and said parking was available downstairs for diners. But that did not dampen what was a very enjoyable evening.

About Nobu
Cuisine: Japanese / Sushi
Nobu
No stranger to international culinary influences, Nobu gives classical Japanese cuisine a contemporary twist with a Peruvian influence. Diners can indulge in fresh South African seafood and indigenous spices in mesmerising dishes such as Sake Roast Whitefish with Jalapeno or the Chocolate Bento Box; a dark chocolate fondant with green tea ice cream and a sesame seed tuile. A sweeping fan-like staircase leads to the 104 seat dining area and sushi counter, which is framed by a textured, translucent origami light that glides along the ceiling. The upper-level Nobu Lounge features a selection of Sakes including Japanese beer and Shochu based cocktails.
