We had a very nice 6 course menu as part of the Restaurant Week and at R 500 was extremely good value.

For us it achieved a good introduction to a Restaurant we had never tried previously and probably would never done had it not been for Restaurant Week.

Service was exceptional, although as with so many restaurants these days the attempts to upsell was a bit annoying!

In terms of the food it is amazingly well presented and contained three very memorable dishes:
The Yellowtail Tartar which looked as beautiful as it tasted;
The Spinach salad with Miso dressing was probably one of the most amazing taste sensations I have ever encountered, how they transform such simple ingredients was mind blowing!
The Tempura Kinglip was exquisitely prepared and showed off the Chef's ability with Stocks

The deserts were a perfect ending.

My wife did not enjoy the Fillet and veg accompaniment as it was extremely spicy, we were asked before the meal if we had any allergies but I do think we should have been warned about the heat in this dish.

Personally I would have preferred something more Asian as the protein dish, maybe Pork Belly or Sushi

Overall it was a great experience and has put Nobu on our radar for the future and we would recommend to our friends.

What a great evening out. The Bento box was absolutely delish and gave a good selection of a variety of foods. The chocolate fondant was perfection and a great way to end off the evening.

Fabulous evening. Professional service by well informed friendly staff. Excellent food beautifully presented with exceptional flavours, the best being the tempura kingklip on leaves with a yummy citrus dressing.

Had a great experience at this restaurant. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our food - it was absolutely delicious. The wine was good. The service was excellent and the decor was lovely and warm. Only sad thing - the tables were very close together not giving us much privacy. Will definitely be coming back though.

Everything was perfect. The deserts could be a bit smaller. Friendly service and amazing views. Good wine from the estate as well.

About Nobu

Cuisine: Japanese / Sushi

Nobu

No stranger to international culinary influences, Nobu gives classical Japanese cuisine a contemporary twist with a Peruvian influence. Diners can indulge in fresh South African seafood and indigenous spices in mesmerising dishes such as Sake Roast Whitefish with Jalapeno or the Chocolate Bento Box; a dark chocolate fondant with green tea ice cream and a sesame seed tuile. A sweeping fan-like staircase leads to the 104 seat dining area and sushi counter, which is framed by a textured, translucent origami light that glides along the ceiling. The upper-level Nobu Lounge features a selection of Sakes including Japanese beer and Shochu based cocktails.
