The guys did this with ease and didn't make us feel like difficult guests.
Our guests were also a little late and we were able to kill the time by trying some of the many proseccos available at the tasting area. I thought the guy serving us there was brilliant, a nice laid back attitude but fantastic knowledge of the many wines available.
Now onto the food. Every dish was a visual masterpiece. It almost makes you feel guilty breaking apart such a pretty sight. The taste wasn't quite as special as the visual in some cases which is why they lost some marks in the ratings. I was hoping the lamb neck would burst with flavour and it didn't. Also the white choc and lavender mousse didn't taste like any of those things and tasted predominantly like ginger so I left most of it.
I can't fault the venue though, it's really pretty and the views are great only drop in marks comes from the fact the table was a bit too close to another table and there was ample space to move them apart
Still a fabulous day and we will be back again
This restaurant was more than worth the 50 minute drive from Cape Town. Each course was met with delight from each guest. I will definitely be recommending Idiom to my foodie friends from Gauteng!
Excellent setting, service, food and wine - what more can you ask for!
Our waiter Parma was excellent. Knowledgeable caring n his wines. Food was beautifully presented and delicious. Overall it was a delightful experience
I love our first visit to this lovely out of the way off the beaten track restaurant. The value for money of the amazing restaurant week offering was sublime and finally my respect for a great pork belly dish has been redeemed. Will be going back soon!
