"Best Steak Ever!"

The Fillet steak was supremely soft with a light chargrilled crust - AMAZING! It melted in our mouths and we were very impressed with the quality and flavor of the beef.
Your interior is well decorated and the ambiance is nice.

We did have a very pesky fly hanging about our wine though that we had to cover out...

We did have a very pesky fly hanging about our wine though that we had to cover out glasses with our napkins... perhaps citrus candles will help to keep them at bay and give a bit more ambiance?

We enjoyed our meal so much that we booked another date before this one was even over!

We visited Patina for my husband's birthday. The food was absolutely excellent and I can't fault it. Steak delicious and starter calamari superb. I was a bit disappointed that after visiting the restaurant in person beforehand to tell them it was my husband's birthday and the hostess making a note and telling me they'd do something special and write Happy Birthday on his desert plate, reminding our waiter and the host on the night, nothing was done at all. The service was unfortunately very average.

This is such an awesome new gem in the Newlands area. I had the best fillet I've ever had here - it was like cutting through butter. And the parmesan risotto side is to die for. It's not the cheapest meal out, but totally worth it!

We had heard about Patina so decided to try it out. We were not disappointed. Our calamari starter was one of the best ever. I didn't want it to finish as I relished every mouthful. Steaks were done to perfection, exactly as requested. Steven our lovely solicitous waiter suggested I have a salad with mine when I told him I was Banting. Our Creme Brulee was the perfect ending to a wonderful evening. There was an energising buzz in the place that added to our enjoyment.

Before you even take your first bite, there are clues galore that this is no average steakhouse: the superb wine-by-the-glass list (the “Fine Wine” in its name kind of gives that part away); the small but select starter menu (carpaccio with pickled shallots, mustard seeds, radish, smoked salt and olive oil); the slick interiors; and, of course, the perfectly prepared steaks – made with aged Chalmar beef.

1. Do I need to pay upfront?

At most restaurants, you can make reservations for free and cancel them without any charge. You'll settle the bill when you dine at the restaurant. However, some restaurants may request a small deposit, and they will send a prepayment request via Dineplan to confirm your reservation.
