Awesome experience. Excellent, friendly, attentive waitor, superb food. Loved the imaginative gin combos.

We absolutely loved the decor, mood and setting with the romantic separated jazzy lounge boasting an extensive gin and whisky bar. Our waiter's knowledge of and skills with the g&t's was impressive. The food consisted of a shared platter for a starter and two choices for both mains and dessert. Many of the ingredients were ones I would never choose for myself when ordering, but they were used so well within the dishes, it blew our minds. Perfectly balanced flavours and textures. We loved watching the head chef decorating each plate with great detail before sending them out to their tables. We couldn't have been more satisfied.
We (obviously) booked on restaurant week. When we got there, we raelised that the a la carte menu was much more worthwhile, and with a much wider choice. Incidently also cheaper. The food was a gastronomic event of note. Not one dish could be crtitcized. The service was immaculate, but their winelist is small, and excessively priced.
Despite power outage issues and having to use the generator the team at Workshop 55 did themselves proud. The food was delicious, the staff were attentive and the candles just added to the ambience.
Clifford was great, welcomed us very professionally. I like him. The actual location is easy to miss. There is just a number 55, not 'workshop 55' in the road. The setup is very nice, catchy/trendy etc.

The menu itself was set and not too many options to choose from. The platter was smooth, easy and simple. Loved the squid heads and the ink.
Then our mains of Fish were somewhat simple but memorable. A mouth full of fish, and sauces/creams around the fish. Was rather refreshing. The pallet cleansers were also somewhat refreshing.
We chose the chocolate forest dessert and were not disappointed. This was the highlight for me. The berries and chocolate ice cream all complemented each other well. They were unified. It was beautiful, thanks.
Only thing is, our Entertainer App was not accepted here (for drinks) which didn't make sense.
