Food was mildly disappointing. Starter platter was good but nothing exceptional. Had the white fish for mains, lacked flavor and was a little on the dry side. Not really a big dessert person but can't fault this.
The restaurant is quite noisy due to the proximity to the road and the bar area next door.
Overall I think there are many better restaurants in JHB.
I made a reservation for 4 people. Overall, it was a lovely dinner. The food and the portions were adequate. The place is mostly a gin bar and they have a good selection of it. There was an event happening on the other side of the restaurant so it was a bit loud. The service sort of pushes you to taste the gin but after seeing the prices, it is better to stick to wine.
Lovely atmosphere, friendly and professional. The chef is definitely dedicated to his craft. The portions were all started portions to me, I would have liked a little more on the plate for the main meal.
