My friends and I have made some reservations at various restaurants for Restaurant Week. First stop in PTA, dinner at De Kloof. We enjoyed our meals and overall everyone agreed that the Dish of the evening was the starter Alive & Kicking. Very creative, fantastic flavour combinations & we were left wanting more. Mains of Big Bad Wolf, Vege-zagna & Cheeky Cow were all well reeived and delivered on flavour. Desserts were a little underwhelming and the only real critique we had, was that the mint ice cream overpowered the other delicate components of Mr Whitlock dessert. Thanks Charl for this gem of a restaurant in PTA.

"Disappointing"

We have been to this restaurant several times, but Saturday 24 October was really disappointing. And this during restaurant week. Poor service, really not up to standard food, overpriced..our last visit.

The food was absolutely supurb! The service very professional effective warm and friendly. We were specially catered for in a seperate room and found the ambiance very warm and friendly. Management was personally involved to ensure we were served to our expectation. A 5-star experience !!!

"Evening with the family"

It was a fantastic evening with magnificent food - the best I have had in Pretoria. We really enjoyed each one of the courses. The most wonderful dish of the evening was the starter - "Alive and Kicking".
I can definitely recommend De Kloof

1. Do I need to pay upfront?

At most restaurants, you can make reservations for free and cancel them without any charge. You'll settle the bill when you dine at the restaurant. However, some restaurants may request a small deposit, and they will send a prepayment request via Dineplan to confirm your reservation.

If you have made a prepayment via Dineplan, you can cancel up to 24 hours before your reservation. The amount you paid in advance will be automatically refunded to your account. Refunds through Dineplan should be resolved in communication with the restaurant, and we are not directly involved in this process.

8. Until when can I cancel my reservation?

You can cancel your reservation online up to 8 hours in advance, or by phone up to 1 hour before your reservation time. However, we kindly request that you cancel as soon as you know you won't be able to make your reservation.

9. What is Restaurant Week South Africa?

During Restaurant Week South Africa, you can indulge in a fabulous 3-course dinner at over 140 of the finest restaurants in South Africa, starting at ZAR 295.00 per person. Restaurant Week South Africa is held twice a year, in Autumn and Spring.
