I had the chicken liver parfait as a starter and it was lovely as it was accompanied with sweet taste of baby meringues. For main I had the spinach and Parmesan risotto. It was so tasty and perfectly made with some surprise kale and not only pieces of Parmesan in the risotto but also had Parmesan mousse which was such a wonderful sensation and taste!
Would definitely be back for the food but the service could improve as our waiter only came to our table about 3 times and we had to order our food and drinks from the manager as our waiter was not present at all.
Being a fan of Coobs, tonight's 3 course dinner with the added wine pairing was amazing. As the place is usually buzzing, the ambience is that of people catching up and enjoying good food. Awesome food and service.
Coobs is delicious
I can understand why this restaurant comes highly rated. The staff made everything look effortless. We had a great waiter and the table was visited by the chef and manager on duty. Food presentation was meticulous. They offered extras and there was no pressure to take the extras. Definitely worth another vsisit.
What a lovely night! It felt like we were in a foreign country... Almost like a holiday! We relaxed with excellent food and good company! A lot of new tastes and flavors.. Teasing my taste buds!! Loved it!! A jewel of a place!

About Coobs
Coobs
Coobs is a eclectic contemporary bistro set in the bustling fourth ave in parkhurst in a new centre, its modern architecture goes well with the look and feel presented at Coobs. Coobs sources their produce from local suppliers and organic farms to create unique modern bistro-style food. Close to 75% of ingredients come from our organic farm ‘Brightside’ in the Magaliesburg. The farm has been part of Chef James Diack’s family for more than 20 years and is now the main source for his food. “We grew up on that farm; I was a city boy in the week and a farm child on the weekend, wrecking everything in my dirt-biking path.” It is such a pleasure to know where one’s food is coming from, to be able to trace it to its roots and thats what us at Coobs care about so deeply. Everything from vegetables and herbs to pork, lamb and wild boar is free-range and organic.
