"Charming spot at the KCC"

The entire experience was fairly good. The staff were very friendly & always willing to assist. The food was devine, with my sweet tooth I loved the dessert. My only feedback would have been to allow patrons to create their own 3 course menu from the set options, instead of having a fully set menu.

I can not fault anything.
We had a lovely lunch in a relaxed autumn garden.
The service was excellant and not just from our waiter. Other waiters assisted and were extremely helpful.
The food was excellant, modern yet wholesome. Well presented and very tasty. The portions were huge.
Found it to be really good value.
Can't wait to go back...if only to indulge in their trendy desserts.

WOW! A hidden little gem in the heart of JHB. Wonderful ambience, terrific service and Food was spectacular! Definitely worth a visit!

We went on Friday night and had mentioned on our booking for that we were banting so wanted low carb, high fat. This was never referred to - and the menu was full of pastry (all 3 choices). This is in sharp contrast to Pulp Fiction who were very particular about putting no carbs on our plate.

The setting is nice, the staff are pleasant - probably better as a lunch venue.
There were 3 menu choices - but a lot of pastry in most courses. We went for the lessor of the 3 evils: chicken livers in Napolitano sauce. This was delicious and I would go back for it. The dessert on our choice was Toblerone in Phyllo - really delicious too.
However, the rump steak was tasteless (no encrusting as mentioned on the menu), and it was so tough - I couldn't eat it. My husbands was as bad. Although the steaks were large - they should have been aged more and a sauce may have disguised the dryness.

1. Do I need to pay upfront?

At most restaurants, you can make reservations for free and cancel them without any charge. You'll settle the bill when you dine at the restaurant. However, some restaurants may request a small deposit, and they will send a prepayment request via Dineplan to confirm your reservation.
