Service was exceptional. Waiters were very knowledgeable about the wine (Maureen gave us a great recommendation for a Rose) and food ingredients as we had a special diet. Starters of 4 sausages was great but I had to take half of them home as was so big. Partner's chicken livers was very tasty and served with gluten free bread. Mains were also big portion (Shredded pork and fish and chips). Both very well seasoned and flavour combinations great. Also had to take a doggy bag for my pork so I get a second chance to eat. Would most definitley recommend and you won't go home hungry. Well done to the team at Culinary Table.

My wife and I were expecting an ordinary restaurant setting and were amazed by what we found - a shopping experience for the best in cooking utensils and ingredients. We reserved our table and took some time to walk through the outside area. Everything on your plate, as we later realized, came from their own garden. The food was awesome - delicious. The venue? Well, we drove past it numerous times on our way to the airport, not knowing what a hidden jewel it was. We experienced service excellence and the ambiance was fantastic. They went from customer satisfaction to customer delight.

The food was fantastic.
The service started off wonderful but they forgot about us halfway.
We will definitely visit again.

Food was really excellent. I thought the restaurant was slightly under staff and has probably underestimated the response on the restaurant week, and the service was therefore not on par with the food and the ambience. Not that was service was bad, just not as good.

But the food was excellent, the wine good and overall my and my wife really enjoyed it.

Culinary Table is a garden-to-table restaurant located in Lanseria on the outskirts of Joburg. Inspired by fresh, seasonal produce our menu changes weekly to reflect the best available ingredients from our garden and local purveyors. Headed by French Culinary Institute, New York City, trained chef Daniela Gutstadt the team prepares tasty and wholesome fare in a casual, social atmosphere.

1. Do I need to pay upfront?

At most restaurants, you can make reservations for free and cancel them without any charge. You'll settle the bill when you dine at the restaurant. However, some restaurants may request a small deposit, and they will send a prepayment request via Dineplan to confirm your reservation.

2. How do I know if my reservation is confirmed?

You will receive a confirmation for every reservation within a few minutes at the email address you provided. Haven't received anything? Please check your spam folder.

3. I follow a special diet. Can the restaurant accommodate that?

Yes, restaurants always take dietary preferences into consideration.

You can specify your dietary requirements in the comments section of the reservation form.

4. Are drinks included in the menu price?

In most deals, drinks are not included.

However, some restaurants may offer a welcome drink or provide a wine-pairing option, and this will be clearly indicated in the restaurant's menu.

5. How can I change my reservation?

7. Is cancellation free?

Yes, you can always cancel for free.

If you have made a prepayment via Dineplan, you can cancel up to 24 hours before your reservation. The amount you paid in advance will be automatically refunded to your account. Refunds through Dineplan should be resolved in communication with the restaurant, and we are not directly involved in this process.

8. Until when can I cancel my reservation?

You can cancel your reservation online up to 8 hours in advance, or by phone up to 1 hour before your reservation time. However, we kindly request that you cancel as soon as you know you won't be able to make your reservation.

9. What is Restaurant Week South Africa?

During Restaurant Week South Africa, you can indulge in a fabulous 3-course dinner at over 140 of the finest restaurants in South Africa, starting at ZAR 295.00 per person. Restaurant Week South Africa is held twice a year, in Autumn and Spring.
