The food and service was absolutely amazing. I wouldn't have had it any other way. The manager allowed us to taste all the dishes in the restaurant week menu, which was fantastic because everything in that list was just too good to miss out on.
From the moment we arrived at Prosopa, the owner Dino, made us feel right at home.

He was super helpful in suggesting a wine, he took the time to listen to what we enjoyed eating, and suggested something on the menu. We were not sorry for following his suggestions. Every meal was tasty, there was not a bland ingredient on our plate, there are definitely different takes on food we would otherwise, never eat, for instance, the fried brinjal.
We would definitely recommend the Rib Eye Steak, it is superb! Dino also suggested the Glaktoboureko, which is WONDERFULLY Surprising.
The ambience in the restaurant allows you to feel relaxed, there is no need to rush through the meal, allowing you to experience every taste and moment in your own time. Dino takes his guests through a journey of the restaurant, as well as the choices of food, which creates a sense of homeliness, making you want to return.
What a wonderful restaurant. From the greeting at the door by the restaurant owner to the professional and friendly waitron - it was an excellent experience.
The food was delicious, well presented and well worth every cent.
Awesome experience! Candle-lit dinner due to power outage, but this did not influence the chef - the food was out of this world. Rib eye steak and baklava highly recommended. Beautiful restaurant. I cannot wait to go back!

The setting is stunning and you don't feel like you are in Pretoria. I loved the wine list as it had some great speciality wines and different selection than the same old you find always. We will be back for sure.

Prosopa
The elegant, stylish interior designed by renowned local architect, Callie van der Merwe, creates a sophisticated, fresh atmosphere at Prosopa, situated in the heart of Waterkloof Heights.
Prosopa’s extensive Mediterranean menu is influenced by the flavours of Greece, Portugal and Spain. The signature lamb dish Kleftiko is deboned leg of lamb wrapped in vine leaves & foil stuffed with feta, fresh tomato, herbs and spices and slow roasted in the oven. An option one cannot stay away from is the fantastic array of mezze one can have on a platter or individually.
The extensive award-winning wine list offers many a gem to be enjoyed beside the fireplace on a cold winter’s night or on the veranda with the curtains blowing in a soft summer breeze.
